Under the direction and guidance of John Angotti, the St. Ann Parish offers many opportunities for the musically gifted and talented parishioners. All are welcome to join the music and worship activities that we offer.
We are currently looking for singers to cantor and be a part of one of the St. Ann Choirs as well as instrumentalists, especially piano players. Rehearsals are at 7pm on Thursday nights in the Choir Room.
St. Ann Choirs prepare the liturgical music for Masses as well as other parish celebrations and evnts. A variety of choirs for men, women and instrumentalists are offered and are open to anyone high school and older. Previous experience and ability to read music is not required, simply a desire to serve through music. Choir opportunities include Adult Choir, Contemporary Ensamble, Children's Choir, Men's Choir, Women's Choir - Miriam
Cantor Ministry is one of singer and leader of sung prayer. Potential cantors are chosen and invited to take part in this ministry. Ongoing training is provided. Cantors lead the singing as Masses, Holdy Day Masses and special celebrations.
Children's Choir is open to all children grades two through eight and provides members the opportunity to learn about music. This choir sings at the school Masses and occasionally for Sunday Masses.
Organists and Accompanists are always needed for the wide variety of musical activity within our parish. We are always in need of organists, pianists and keyboardists. Instrumentalists (reed, string, percussion or brass) are encouraged to participate and provide that special touch to our music for worship.
The Hand Bell Choir provides beautiful accompaniment to the music at masses and offers inspiring music at different times of the year.
