Preparation for Confirmation should aim at leading the Christian toward a more intimate union with Christ and a more lively familiarity with the Holy Spirit - his actions, his gifts, and his biddings - in order to be more capable of assuming the apostolic responsibilities of Christian life. To this end catechesis for Confirmation should strive to awaken a sense of belonging to the Church of Jesus Christ, the universal Church as well as the parish community. The latter bears special responsibility for the preparation of confirmands. The Catechism of the Catholic Church
Confirmation unites us more firmly to Christ. It strengthens our relationship with the Church, and gives us a special strength from the Holy Spirit to defend the faith and confess the name of Christ.
Our two-year Confirmation Preparation initiative is both engaging and innovative. Decision Point by Dynamic Catholic (Matthew Kelly) steers our Confirmation I (generally 7th Grade) students as they navigate through what it means to embrace our Catholic Faith as their own. Chosen by Ascension Press proclaims to our confirmation candidates (Confirmation II students, generally 8th Grade) that this Sacrament, and indeed our faith, are not about information intake, but about encountering Jesus. Chosen invites our young people to encounter Christ through the Church, the Scripture, the Mass, the Sacraments...and one another. See below for links to each of these programs
Service as part of our Confirmation Preparation
In an effort to make St. Ann’s Confirmation Preparation as meaningful as possible we are restructuring how service is performed. Starting the 2016-2017 school year, both Confirmation I and Confirmation II students will be expected to engage in service events. The main goal of this preparation is to help each child grow in holiness and foster within each child a culture of service. Click here to learn more about Confirmation Service Events and requirements.

Come Holy Spirit!!!
All Baptismal and First Eucharist Certificates are due at the beginning of the academic year. St. Ann School students should already have theirs on record in the school office. Any student who was baptized here or recieved First Eucharist at St. Ann is on record at the Parish Office, so we only need you to provide the date. All other certificates need to be turned in to the Parish Office addressed to Kathy Schober.
